On Gorgeous Grandma Day, in addition to a photoshoot, we did a meaningful activity with the following group of women called “Mirror, Mirror.” Using a handheld mirror, each woman took a moment to look at her reflection. We gently asked, “What do you see?”—offering prompts and words when needed. Many responded with, “an old lady.” Then we encouraged them to smile and asked again, “Now what do you see?” The shift was beautiful. Their expressions brightened, and their responses became more positive. Every single woman smiled—and saw something different in herself.
